Frequency of St. Brides Major community Council Ordinary Meetings:  every second Monday except August. 

Frequency of Ward Planning Committee Meetings: approximately one a month on a Thursday, incorporating Burial Ground Committee Meeting as necessary. 

Contact details for the Chairman and Clerk can be found on the Vale of Glamorgan Council website.  Whenever a Community Council meeting is planned, the Agenda and contact details (usually of the Clerk) are placed in the notice boards in bus shelters in St. Brides Major, in Ogmore-by-Sea and Southerndown as well as other locations such as St. Brides Major village shop.  The minutes of the previous meeting are also displayed. 

In past years, the Community Council met on the second Monday of the month with the exception of August.  Following resolutions passed at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 8th May, 2006 the Community Council met quarterly with Ordinary Meetings taking place in August, November, February and May each year.  At the AGM held on 14th May, 2007 it was agreed to hold meetings every other month.  It was decided at AGM held on 12th May, 2008 that meetings should take place monthly and be held alternately in the villages of St. Brides Major and Ogmore-by-Sea.  Planning meetings are held approximately once a month in both St. Brides Major and Ogmore-by-Sea to review applications in these Community Council Ward areas.  Extraordinary Meetings are convened from time to time to discuss matters that cannot be held over until the next scheduled Ordinary Meeting.  At present a suitable venue has not been identified in the Ogmore-by-Sea area for Community Council Ordinary Meetings and therefore they are usually held in St. Brides Major Church Hall.  At the AGM in 2010 it was agreed that Meetings would take place in August only if deemed necessary.
